A couple of days ago, Callie and I decided to take River with us to Charlotte to do a little shopping. We figured since we had done it before with River that it would be fine, little did we know, it was not in his plans for the day!
To start off, we were trying to find a Starbucks for a caffiene fix so we put it in the GPS to find. Luckily there was one in the shopping area we were going to so we didn't have to go very far, except when we got there, there was no Starbucks in sight! Fail #1!
Then we decide that we can wait and start off at Babies R Us. We knew River would need a bottle which wasn't a big deal so Callie got him out of the stroller him. He was fine but after he ate, he just could not get comfortable in his carseat (side note: he hates his carseat if he is awake!). In the span that we were in Babies R Us, River had not 1 but 2 dirty diapers, we lost a wubbanubb (paci), River spit up on Callie, I was trying to push a cart and a stroller and we went down the same aisle about 6 different times while the employees stared at us! We finally made it out of there and were now really in need of Starbucks! Oh and we left both the Moby and the Ergobaby which River highly prefers over his carseat!
We figure out that Starbucks is actually inside the Target in the shopping center so I head in there to get our drinks while Callie stays in the car with River. When I get in there I learn that the worker had to take a break and will not be back for another 15 minutes. Just a minor roadblock so I figured it was no big deal. I walk back out to the car where Callie is changing dirty diaper #3 of the day and River is screaming. Callie gets him calmed down and I head back in for Starbucks since it has been a while. When I get back the girl that is working is moving a turtle speed to make our drinks but I wait patiently b/c at this point we cannot do without them! Finally I get back out to the car with our drinks and River is sleeping peacefully so we think we are in the clear.
We then go to another store b/c it is the only place that sells Wubbanubbs and we have to replace the one that we lost in the first store. Things went pretty smoothly in this store b/c River was asleep. Then we head to Old Navy to get River a few things for summer time and all went well in there too. Oh and it was like 90 degrees outside and like 100% humidity so going in and out of places was pretty miserable, I guess that what we get for living in the south!
The last straw for the day was when we were getting ready to leave to go home for the day b/c we had had enough! We had some minor issues with the stroller but to make a long story short, it was nothing that the nice people at Buy Buy Baby couldn't help us with!
This day had just turned out to be a lot harder and more difficult than we had ever expected but I guess that comes with trying to take a 1 month old shopping! We couldn't get home fast enough and once we did all was fine again! I don't think we will be trying that again for a very long time!

Don't worry! River only sleeps on his tummy when we are in the room with him! They were both taking their morning naps :)
