YUM YUM!

As you can tell, River isn't too sure what to think about this whole eating from a spoon thing! We are going to keep trying so he can get the hang of it but until then...

I seriously think this is one of the cutest pictures that we have of River!

Laughing

This week has been extra busy so I haven't had much time to blog. School started back this week and and few other things so I have hardly even been on my computer this week. Also the house is coming along great! Just a few more pieces of furniture to go and then just move all of my stuff in and it will officially be my house! I'll be sure to post plenty of pictures once I take some.

In other news, this is quite possible the cutest video that I have ever seen. I guess River thought his mommy was being very funny on this particular day and his laugh is just the cutest! However, if you get motion sick, it may be a little difficult to watch!

4 Month Stats

Finally getting around to posting his 4 month stats.  This is kind of the boring stuff but just for our records really!

Weight: 17.5 lbs            75-90th Percentile
Height: 26.75 Inches          95th Percentile
Head Circumfrence: 17.75                  Greater than 95th Percentile

Everything else looks great and he is right on track or above developmentally.  The doctor gave Callie the go ahead to try solids so that will be starting soon!

Apparently my lens cap was more fun than taking pictures!

Eat!

River ventured into the world of solids this afternoon!  He has been getting rice cereal in his bottle for over a month now but today Callie decided to try to spoon feed him the cereal for the first time.  He actually did pretty well.  He wasn't too sure about it at first but it didn't reject it so I guess that is a start.

Lately he has seemed very interested in what we are eating so it was just a good a time as any to try it with him. He just doesn't seem satisfied with just his bottles anymore so he might be trying more solids soon! I'll definitely keep you updated!

Those of you that are moms, what was the first solid that you tried with your babe? Any suggestions on what Callie should try first with River?

Are They Serious?!?!

As I was doing my daily celeb stalking yesterday I ran across an article on USmagazine.com that really caught my eye.  It was titled "Celebs Reveal Their Mommy Must-Haves" so of course I had to read.  However, I must say that I am not impressed with this list!  I know they have more must-haves than what was mentioned in the article.

While their main must-have was "help" caring for their children, some of the others were just a little off to me.  Not to say that they aren't good choices but seriously listen to some of these.  Kelly Rutherford says her must have is "non-toxic, natural cleaning products.", really is this the best that you could come up with?? While I realize that this is very important, was there nothing else that she absolutely couldn't live without besides cleaning products? On to Julianne Moore who said her must have was snacks for her kids when they are out and about because she never knows when they will be hungry and that hunger strikes fast.  Well HELLO, but is that not just common sense when you have young children?

And please, Jill Zarin, your daughter is 17 and you say that a first aid kit is your must-have?  I see how this could come in handy but if your daughter is 17, don't you think she can pretty much take care of herself without mommy?

I partly put the blame on US for the misleading title of the article because it definitely didn't seem like must-haves at all to me.  I'm not even a mommy yet but I can come up with like 10 things off the top of my head that are must haves! Maybe must-haves are just different for celebs, who knows!

Which leads me to post that I am very excited about...Callie will be doing a post sometime this week on the items that she couldn't live without when River was a newborn so stay tuned!  Sorry for all of the ranting but I seriously thought this article was quite comical so I thought I would share my opinion! And just because it is too precious not to post...

4 Months

Sorry it's a little late but this little guy has just been too precious lately so we have been playing a lot!  He also tries to take over my computer every time I try to blog, like seriously he tries to attack the computer because he wants it so bad! Hopefully, I'll catch it on video soon!

What River is up to this month?
- Not sure on weight and length.  I'll update after his 4 month appointment.
- Still taking 6oz bottles with rice cereal.
- Has his first TOOTH!
- Currently hates his carseat!
- Can ride in the stroller seat instead of his carseat, which he seems to like a little better.
- Loves his Jumperoo!
- Outgrowing his swing and paci both of which he used to love.
- Napping in his crib finally!!
- Exclusively wearing cloth diapers.
- Growing, growing, growing!

Fluff

So I don't know if you have noticed in the last few pictures that I have posted but River has been sporting some super cute cloth diapers.  Now before you go and think these are just your normal and old fashion cloth diapers, take a closer look!  They are really easy, comfortable for River and not to mention ridiculously cute!  Its just the beginning but Callie and I are becoming major supporters of cloth diapers.  She is going to do a full post about it sometime very soon!  Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Did you notice who snuck into every picture? Yep, that's Jackson also known as River's best friend.  Jackson loves to lay in the floor with River while he is playing and I think its pretty cute.  I'm pretty sure they are going to be the best of friends!
