Browan's Birthday!

River's cousin Browan turned 2 last week and had his birthday party at a great park in Greer.  All of the equipment is wooden and there are 2 seperate play areas, one for smaller kids and one for the bigger kids.  Everybody at the party really seemed to enjoy themselves, including the adults!  I can't believe Browan is already 2! These boys are growing up way too fast and definitely aren't babies anymore!

Slides are just too much fun, especially when you are with your cousin!

The weather for the party was just perfect and great for taking pictures as well!

I love this picture of all of the kids.  All of the different facial expressions really make me laugh! (Especially Marley because she is like "can we just go ahead and cut the cake please!")

Oh Baby!

Last weekend a few friends and I had the privilege of hosting a baby shower for a good friend!  To say I was excited about this would be a complete understatement! As soon as we decided on the colors we were using I went to work. I love planning parties and such because I always learn how to do something while preparing for them.  For this shower sewed my first ever table cloth, table runner with ruffle, and actually completed my first baby blanket! It was all about the little details and turned out great!

 The banner was quite possibly my favorite thing, I love how it turned out!, and what is a baby shower without presents?!

Thanksgiving!

With the exception of River not being in the greatest mood on Thanksgiving due to a double ear infection, all in all it was a great day.  Awesome food and getting to spend time with family that we don't see often enough was just wonderful! Now here are some pictures for your enjoyment!

Halloween Fun!

River's Halloween fun started out with a party at school! Don't know if you can tell by the picture but all of the kids enjoyed their cupcakes except for River, go figure!

Halloween night we headed to Mimi's house for a halloween party, hayride and trick-or-treating.  It was fun to watch River this year because he is so funny! See if you can guess who he dressed up as?!

If you can't already tell he dressed up as Justin Bieber, and I must say it was the most precious thing ever!

He really seemed to like his lollipop, wonder if he is going to be a candy freak like his auntie?!?!

A Day at the Park

We have been enjoying the park a good bit lately since the weather has been so nice! River loves being outside and the park gives him the freedom to run around and get all of his energy out.  He is getting so big and totally growing up right in front of us! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

So I just realized that it's been a month since my last post! I thought I would let you guys in on what we have been up to lately!

Lunch date at Chick-Fila, hanging out in just a diaper, trying to his new climbing skills on anything and everything, first art project!

First haircut, clown cake pops and cake for a circus birthday party, watching the big truck and tractor out the front door!

The we have all had a busy couple of weeks but River has been the most busy by growing into a toddler seemingly overnight! Seriously!! He got his hair cut for the first time,  "started school", and now is forward facing in his carseat.  Where did our little baby go?!?!

I have seen this Step 2 Up & Down Roller Coaster a few places but have always just kind of dismissed them thinking that they were a little dangerous and not for toddlers. But after seeing how much all of the kids, including River, enjoyed this one at Gavin's birthday party, I now have a different view of them.  They are actually pretty safe as long as you don't put them on a steep incline, which most responsible people wouldn't do.  Also the kids can basically do everything by themselves which is pretty cool to them. I think that River might be getting one in the near future or at least be going to play with Gavin's every once in a while! I mean just look at the complete excitement on his face, how can he not have one!

We headed to Folly Beach last month so I figured it was about time to show you all the pictures from our wonderful vacay! We had so much fun and I hope it becomes something that we do every year!

Birthday Take 2: The Details...

Since I already posted all of the precious and special birthday pictures, I figured I would do a post on all of the little details of the party!  It was a lot of fun planning the party and then watching it all come together.  This party also taught me how to do a lot of stuff that I had wanted to learn how to do like....

And it wouldn't be a birthday party without a candy bar! This was probably one of my favorite things since I am a candy fanatic!

All in all it was a great birthday party and I think everyone involved had a blast!

Birthday Party Take 1!

River's 1st Birthday party has a huge success!  After a rocky start and having to change the day at the last minute due to threat of bad weather, in the end everything worked out perfectly!  A good time was had by all, children and adults!

River acted liked he had been riding ponies since he was born! He got on and knew exactly what to do and he loved it as you can see!

The petting zoo was a big hit among all of the kids and River seemed to like it as well! He wasn't too sure about the goat licking his hand though!

And what is a farm birthday party without a tractor and this one happened to be just River's size! Oh and that middle picture, ::I DIE:: from the cuteness!

River still wasn't too sure about his cake but he did love the singing and being the center of attention...such a ham!

He was also a pro at opening presents by himself and it was too cute how he would throw himself down on the present and the just lay there at look at it!

Cake!

What more could a little boy ever want!  Well River thinks you should leave the cake out because he was not too sure about it!

Also he decided that he would shock us all and officially start walking on his birthday! He had been taking a few steps here and there but he started walking longer distances that night! I will try to get it on video sometime soon so you all can see him in all his cuteness!

In just one week this precious little boy will be ONE!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

11 Months!

What River is up to this Month?

-Now has a total of 7 teeth! With 1 more that is trying to make an appearance soon!

- Not walking but oh so close! Standing without holding on to anything until he notices it!

- Loving his cheerios still but has found a new love in chicken nuggets this week!

-Taking 3-4 bottles a day most of the time but still doesn't like them!

- Very vocal and talkative and starting to repeat things that we say!

- Cutest thing: if you ask him wear the owl is, he makes a "who" sound like an owl!

- Jackson is still his best friend! He recently starting feeding him his food this week and by feeding I mean acting like he is going to give him the food and then eating it himself! He thinks it's hilarious!!

-Going to Gymboree Play and Learn class and loving it!

-Starting to push the boundaries a little just to see what he can get away with!

Only a few more weeks and he will be ONE!! My how time flies! We are definitely in full on party planning mode right now!
